Many thanks to Agustin Sinde and Jorge E. Frana who provided the image and data for Hyles lineata. This species has been previously reported in northwestern Argentina, but the occurence in Sante Fe Province represents an eastward range extension not reported in the L.O.L.A. publication for Argentina. I suspect there will be other additions for Santa Fe.

Jorge Frana writes, "The appropiate locations of the larvae found on border of field crops (soybeans and sorghum) were at 30°20'30.36S & 61°56'05.9W East of San Guillermo city, and the other close to Arrufo city were at 30°16'48.09S & 61°47'08.13W. Larvae always were found on plants of Alternanthera pungens (Amaranthaceae) and never were found on the mentioned crops close by."
